She was the daughter of Martin Block of Darsow and his wife Augusta Räther. 30 March 1870, age 16 - Emigrated in Hamburg. Parents Martin and Augusta and their children August, Albertine, and Maria traveled on the ship "Holsatia" with a stop in Havre, France on their way to New York. They traveled with neighbors Wilhelm Kann of Dargislaff and Emilie Salzsieder from Behlkow. 13 April 1870, age 16 - Immigrated in New York As of sometime before May 1874 - Resided at McLeod County, Minnesota 22 May 1874, age 20 - Married August Wilhelm KRESSIN, age 34, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 20882 Walden Avenue, Hutchinson, McLeod County, Minnesota. The couple had six children. These include Anna, Hulda, Theodore, Leonard, Gustav and Robert. As of 1877 until March 1909 - Resided at Cedar Mills, Meeker County, Minnesota. The family lived on a rented farm. 18 August 1890, age 36 - Father-in-law Martin KRESSIN, age 71, died at Tilden, Chippewa County, Wisconsin As of sometime before 1910 - Resided at Water Street, Chippewa Falls, Chippewa County, Wisconsin As of about 1913 - Resided at 1-1/2 Jackson Street, Kenosha, Kenosha County, Wisconsin. She was living with her son Gustav's family. 10 May 1915, age 61 - Husband August Wilhelm KRESSIN, age 75, died at home of his son Gustav, 1 1/2 Jackson Street (now 69th Street) there 8 July 1917, age 63 - Died at home of her son Robert, 465 West Street there 10 July 1917 - Buried at Green Ridge Cemetery there |
